- Ser probable: to be likely.

            · This company is likely to go bankrupt: Es probable que esta compañía vaya a la bancarrota.

            · It's likely you'll be bored due to the rain: Es probable que te aburras debido a la lluvia.

            · A traffic jam is unlikely to happen: Es poco probable que haya atasco.

- Menos mal: it's a good thing.

            · It's a good thing it works well! : ¡menos mal que funciona bien!.

            · It’s a good thing we didn’t go to the party!: ¡menos mal que no fuimos a la fiesta!.

* Hablando coloquialmente se podría obviar el “It’s a”:

                        · Goog thing you came!: ¡Menos mal que viniste!.

- A tiempo: on time. Esta expresión se usa cuando se hace algo justo en la fecha límite.

- A tiempo: in time. Y esta se usa cuando se hace algo a tiempo, antes de llegar a la fecha límite.

            * I gave the project on time: entregué el proyecto justo a tiempo.

            * They got to the stadium in time: Llegaron al estadio a tiempo (con tiempo de sobra).

- Negarse a: to refuse.

            * They refused to do the job: ellos se negaron a hacer el trabajo.

            * She refused to sign the agreement: ella se negó a firmar el contrato.
