- Tener razón, estar en lo cierto: to be right.

            · Your mother was right, it’s starting to rain: tu madre tenía razón, está empezando a llover.

            · Am I right?: ¿tengo razón? / ¿estoy en lo cierto?

            · No, you’re not right: no, no tienes razón.

            · I wish you were right, but I’m not going to pass the exam: ojalá tuvieras razón, pero no voy a aprobar el examen.

- Casi nunca, apenas: hardly ever.

            · Ideas on paper hardly ever turn into reality: las ideas sobre el papel, casi nunca se hacen realidad.

            · I hardly ever go to the beach: casi nunca voy a la playa.

            · This is a dry region, it hardly ever rains over here: esta es una region seca, apenas llueve.

- Creo que no: I don’t think so

            · Will Real Madrid win the Champions League? I don’t think so: ganará el Real Madrid la Liga de Campeones? Yo creo que no.

- Ojalá: i wish i had... / if only i had...

            · It’s starting to rain, if only I had brought an umbrella: Está empezando a llover, ojalá hubiera traido paraguas.

            · The trip was amazing, I wish you had come with me: el viaje fue genial, ojalá hubieras venido comigo.
